You’re having a baby – congratulations! This is such an exciting time, but it can also be stressful for new expectant parents.
That’s why Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates is partnering with Babies R Us/Toys R Us to provide free, hour-long parenting classes that are open to the public. Classes include:
- Baby Basics: routine care for new parents such as bathing, swaddling, changing diapers and more.
- Breastfeeding: the basics of breastfeeding such as how to get the baby to latch, how often you need to feed the baby and more.
- Choke Saving and Safety: you’ll learn common choking hazards and how to prevent them, basics of the Heimlich maneuver and other safety tips for the home.
Harvard Vanguard pediatricians as well as our health education staff will be teaching these classes. You can sign up for classes in the store. The schedule for December is:
